Hear+Qwere’s Mighty Real 2019, a comedy night benefitting Compton’s Transgender Cultural District, happens Saturday November 2 in the Tenderloin.

Comedians from across the LGBTQ spectrum will share the mic for a night of punch lines for and by queer and trans people of color. Everyone’s welcome.

Headliners include Nori Reed, Sampson McCormick, Baruch Porras-Hernandez, and more to be announced soon. It’s a strange world out there — let’s laugh!

About H+Q
Hear + Qwere is a conversation and event series highlighting the LGBTQ spectrum’s most vibrant members. We navigate, uplift, and unpack queer culture while building communities on an international scale. Started in 2018, H+Q has hosted salons in Los Angeles, Oakland, New York, Paris, and Istanbul.

About The Transgender District

The first legally recognized transgender district in the world, Compton’s Transgender Cultural District is named after the first documented uprising of transgender and queer people in US history, the Compton’s Cafeteria Riots of 1966. CTCD’s mission is to create an urban environment that fosters the rich history, culture, legacy, and empowerment of transgender people.
